OZZY OSBOURNE Leaves Intensive Care

Ozzy Osbourne has been moved out of intensive care as he recovers from the crash of an all-terrain vehicle two weeks ago, his family said Tuesday (Dec. 23).

Osbourne, 55, fractured his collarbone, eight ribs and a neck vertebra when the 600-pound ATV flipped and landed on top of him at his estate in Buckinghamshire, southern England, on Dec. 8. He spent a week on a ventilator.

In a written statement, the Osbourne family said Ozzy had been moved from Wexham Park Hospital in Slough, west of London, to a private clinic.

Osbourne's wife Sharon said last week it would probably take six months for the former BLACK SABBATH frontman to recover fully.

He began breathing unaided a week ago and has been joking with nurses in a rasping voice — asking two of them to marry him.

"The Osbourne family are very happy that Ozzy has been allowed out of the intensive care unit for Christmas and would like to thank everyone for their kind support, well wishes and prayers," the statement said.

"They would also like to thank all the staff at Wexham Park Hospital for the outstanding care and treatment that Ozzy has received since his arrival."

Osbourne's single "Changes", a duet with daughter Kelly, topped the British charts last week.
